Obtaining a residence in Türkiye

Buying property and obtaining residency in Türkiye is different from Turkish citizenship. We are not going to go into the details of this difference in this post, but in short, we can say that you can obtain Turkish residency by purchasing a property worth $400,000 or more.

The implementation steps of this task after selecting and purchasing a property worth $400,000 are as follows:

1- Real estate evaluation

First of all, property appraisal is done. Appraisals are carried out by persons accredited by the Land Registry Office and the Turkish Government.
Then a report is written by the real estate appraiser: All legal permits, the number of apartments per floor in the building or project, the exterior and the estimated value of the property provided it is not less than $400,000, the dimensions and interior pictures of the property are specified.

If the property is purchased from the owner or through a construction company, the bank receipt must be attached to the title deed. For this, the amount must be transferred to the seller through a bank transfer and the total purchase price must be included in the ownership document.

3- Agreement not to sell for three years

before issuing the ownership document; Annotation means that the condition of not selling the property for at least 3 years is requested.

4- Certificate of conformity

Finally, a document called “Certificate of Compliance” indicating that all the conditions of the Real Estate Registry Organization have been met is requested from the Real Estate Registry Organization.
